The Story of Selma

Mervyn H. Sterne Library is hosting a new exhibit: The Story of Selma.

The exhibit celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery marches. Interesting books from the Library's collection are on display, accompanied by photographs from the Alabama Department of Archives and History.

World War I: Birmingham Medicine Answers the Call

This exhibit highlights doctors and nurses from Alabama serving in World War I. Included are biographies, photos, letters, and other documents featuring the service of Sara Quinn as a nurse with the YWCA in Europe and the contributions of Drs. Edwin Caldwell, William Fonville, Seale Harris, and Cabot Lull.

The display is located in five cases on the first floor near the Library entrance (from the plaza).
